Hot Stone Enhanced Reflexology

60 Min

Using the thermogenic properties of warm volcanic stones to soothe tight muscles and relax your body at the deepest level and expel tension from the nerve endings. This session involves working the reflexes found in the feet and ankles, and includes acupressure massage along the lower portion of the leg to the knee. You should not have this treatment if you are on blood thinners, are at risk for blood clots, have open wounds on the feet or legs, diabetics, or anyone who has had surgery in the past 6 weeks.

Alpine Sinus Treatment

45 Min

This session concentrates on sinuses by using diffused essential oils and acupressure massage. Oils such as lavender, eucalyptus, cedar, peppermint and rosemary are selected for their anti-inflammatory properties and ability to loosen congestion and airways. Acupressure applied to the face and scalp will assist with easing sinus pain and promote drainage. Results vary person to person. Those with scent sensitivities or have serious health conditions should consult Bernadette prior to booking.

Reflexology is the practice of using specified pressure points and massage to stimulate the inner
workings of the body and activate its healing relaxation-response. During your treatment, the focus will be on the
pressure points located in the feet, ankles, hands, elbows, sinuses and scalp depending on the length of
treatment. Stimulation of these pressure points may allow several physical changes in your body such as;
Increased circulation, and a decrease in muscle tension, heart rate and/or blood pressure. This level of
relaxation is more complex than listening to music and can have a long last effect throughout the day and
even into your nights rest.

Many insurance plans include reflexology in their benefits packages.

Therapeutic Touch

Therapeutic Touch is a practice that was developed by Dolores Krieger PhD, RN in 1971 which involves a
deep relaxation massage combined with the ancient Japanese practice of Usui Reiki. Designed to
increase the energy flow within your body, and centre the mind, this process creates a feeling of deep
calm and is a perfect companion to your current health and wellbeing goals. Some aromatherapy may be
used to enhance the experience, and give you a feeling of a refreshed spirit.
